The Playwright opened in February 2011 following the success of its sister restaurant Beckitts, also in Marbella.

The team, with years of experience and expertise has been used to make the customer experience at The Playwright memorable and enjoyable for customers of all ages.

The combination of great food and live music has made The Playwright successful and popular with locals and holiday-makers alike.

Playwrights all over the world have brought culture, education and enjoyment to peoples lives. Sadly most Playwrights passed away before their talent was recognised. The Playwright is a shrine to these literature greats.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal, with some excellent service, the staff were fantastic. Afterwards, a quiet drink at the bar turned into some wild dancing with some fabulous live music. Hands down its the best restaurant/bar in Elviria, we can't get back there quickly enough.
